D-1 Truck and Trailer Repair
D-1 Truck and Trailer Repair
One of the fastest growing companies in Francesville, is D-1 Truck and Trailer Repair, located just north of Family Express on Hwy 421. D-1, owned and operated by Dale Nester, began in July 2003 with one tow truck in rented space owned by AJ Wendt and Son. The business quickly grew and Dale bought the entire building complex from Art Wendt in 2016. In the last two years alone, the business has doubled. What started with one man and a tow truck has now grown into seven employees and 7 tow trucks. A new 80’ x 112’ building was constructed just west of Family Express which allows more space for repairs and storage of the large commercial trucks and trailers that D-1 services.
In addition to repairing trailers and diesel engines of commercial trucks, D-1 is also a 24 hour towing service. Dale commented that 80% of his towing business is after hours with an average of 50 tows a month throughout the counties of Pulaski,White, Starke and Jasper.
